How can I share my cam feed with a model in a Private Playdate?

Some models choose to allow customer cam-feeds in Private Playdates, and some models may choose to charge more for it.

While this should generally Just Work with a modern operating system and updated browser, it’s best to test first. To test if your cam feed will work;

1. Visit the Playdates page
   1. Log in if you are not already
2. Click the Test Playdate button
   1. See screenshot below
   2. This tests the Playdate environment – you should see and hear a video playing, be able to enter chat messages.
3. Click the “Test my own cam feed for cam-to-cam” green button
   1. See screenshot below
4. Allow abbywinters.com to use your camera
   1. The first time, you are asked if you agree to sharing your cam feed (in the address bar in your browser)
   2. Click “Allow” – you should be able to see yourself overlaid on the video of Stephanie P (“picture in picture”)
5. Set the camera and mic to use
   1. Clicking the camera icon in the right of the address bar you can select the camera and mic you prefer to use (if you have multiple devices connected)
6. Click “Close Chat” button to finish testing

You’re ready! Remember to treat our models with respect (in fact, let’s just agree to treat everyone with respect!).

Your camera feed is never recorded by us – it’s shown only to the model you choose to share it with, and that’s it.
